Review:
Six Strangers, one notebook and how their lives changed.
A notebook titled The Authenticity Project connects the life of six strangers; Julian, an old man, Monica, a middle-aged cafe owner, Hazard, a recovering alcoholic and addict, Riley, a free minded young man, Alice, a new mother and Lizzie, an ever-curious old lady; where they write the truth about their lives.
The story is written in multiple perspectives, which I absolutely adores, giving this story multiple dimensions. All the characters are well developed, each character is flawed and thus relatable to some extent.
“Authentic” is a term which has become rarity these days. Under the pretence of our perfect life, we are all same, vulnerable and weak. Each with our own problems and suffering. This book highlights this in a very personal and intimate way.
It is really interesting how a single notebook changes the lives of six strangers. The character of Monica is adorable, and she’s alot similar to Monica Geller from F.R.I.E.N.D.S. I was glad to see so much development in personality of each character, especially that if Hazard.
